Dr. Amit Om, MD, FACMS, is a board-certified dermatologist with fellowship training in Mohs surgery. He earned his medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina and then went on to complete his dermatology residency in Florida, serving as Chief Resident. He later pursued his fellowship training in Mohs micrographic surgery and dermatologic oncology in Santa Monica, California. He has authored more than a dozen peer-reviewed publications and serves as a social media correspondent for the American Academy of Dermatology. Patients appreciate Dr. Om’s calm, compassionate manner and his commitment to helping patients navigate their skin health.
Originally from Richmond, Virginia, Dr. Om currently lives in Charlotte, North Carolina, where he enjoys playing tennis, golfing and is a travel enthusiast. He is a self-proclaimed wine nerd. Whether he’s analyzing a complex Pinot or his opponent’s backhand, he brings the same strategic thinking and curiosity to his clinical approach.
